Saint James Hospital offers Ambulance Services for transportation of patients with minor to mild injuries between 8am till 8pm on a daily basis. We also offer Medivac service to cover the area of Tripoli and the surrounding areas. Patients can be stabilized by our Ambulance Team and transferred to the required specialty hospital, depending on the condition, or subsequently evacuated to Malta being the closest port of call or to another destination as indicated by the patient / relatives.
Our Ambulance Services Department does not respond to calls related to the following:
- Cardiac Episodes
- Severe bleeding
Every call out is manned by BLS/ACLS certified personnel, a trained driver and a doctor when required. Our professional ambulance crew provides professional care in responding to a range of patient requirements. All personnel are trained and certified in pre- hospital care. Our vehicles are front line A&E ambulances equipped to UK and EU specifications and include the here under medical equipment amongst other:
- D-Type stretcher
- Spinal Board with straps
- Extrication Device (KED)
- Adjustable cervical collars
- Head Immobiliser
- PASG (Pneumatic Anti-Shock Garment)
- BP / SpO2 / ECG Monitor
Response time is kept to a bare minimum. Our trained operations team continuously strives to ensure professional and appropriate treatment for the patient.
